On Saturday, we took a mini road trip up to Bellingham to visit our friends Dan, Kate, Ella and Jolie!
Kate has been one of my best friends since we met back in Middle School. In our early twenties, she moved over to Eastern WA for school, met Dan, and got married. In fact, Greg got to meet Kate for the first time at her wedding (at least, I think that is when they first met! It seems so long ago now)!
Over the years, with distance and babies making time together more difficult, we have only been able to spend short amounts of quality time together. When Kate called me earlier this year telling me that they were planning a move to the west side, I cannot tell you how thrilled I was! Finally - our friends are in (reasonable) driving distance!
We spent the most beautiful day up at their home in Bellingham. We took a trip to the park at the beach, followed by a quick stop at the local beer store.
We played in their back yard (and in their bouncy house)!
We had a delicious dinner and cupcakes...
...followed by a bath, jammies, milk, and Wreck-it-Ralph.
Dan and Kate are truly the best hosts and we cannot wait to spend another family day with them!
