Monster Jam!!

The long-awaited day of Monster Jam finally arrived last weekend!  In the weeks leading up to it, Ben had made a few comments about how Monster Jam was going to be too loud - I'm sure he overheard us talking about it.  I started to get a little worried that it might be too overwhelming for him, and when we arrived at the Tacoma Dome, his first reaction was tears and terror.  When I picked him up he held me in a death-grip and cried "I don't want to go to Monster truck Jam".  :/

We had bought "Pit Party" passes, which allowed us in a few hours early and gave us the opportunity to get up close and personal with the trucks.  But in order to warm up to the idea, we headed up to the top and hung out in the seats until Ben felt comfortable with the idea of going down to the floor.

Luckily, it didn't take time at all for him to get excited!  Ben loved driving his monster bus all over the dirt and enjoyed running around with the other kids that were there.

As we got closer to show time, we headed up to our seats and met up with all of our friends who were there too!

We didn't make it to the very end of the show because Ben is the squirmiest boy alive and was getting restless, but I think we all had had our fill of trucks.  Ben passed out almost immediately, too tired to even eat the chip he had in his hand.  It was a successful day!
