Thanksgiving in April + New Table

Several weeks back, Rachel, Maureen and I put a day on the calendar to have dinner.  Due to babies and schedules and LIFE, finding a day that works for everyone can be a challenge!  When it came time to discuss what we would be making, Maureen mentioned that if we wanted, we could make the Turducken they had had in their freezer.  Since this massive bird(s) requires several people to eat it, they hadn't had a chance to make it yet.  I definitely jumped at the chance - my first opportunity to try this beautiful creation.  It did not disappoint. :)

It was so much fun to gather together and color:

Snuggle babies:

Watch the big kids get wiped out after lots of running and jumping:

And then make them kiss:

A few weeks before our scheduled dinner party, I noticed a significant price drop on the dining room table I have been eyeing for about a year now.  Due to a crack in our old table, we knew this was a purchase we would be making sometime this year - so we went for it.  Conveniently, they were able to deliver it on Saturday morning! :)

It was a fabulous way to break it in by having a big meal with our fantastic friends.
